The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) has a suggestion to solve the scarcity of bangus fry-put up breeding stations. SEAFDEC's laboratories in Tigbauan town, Iloilo and Igang Marine Station in Guimaras are the only ones of their kind in the country. Since discovering the technique of spawning bangus in 1980, SEAFDEC has been increasing its stocks of spawners and subsequently, it yield of fries.
