To conserve endangered mangrove areas, aquaculture experts have proposed the raising of fishpond rentals from 1,000 to 6,000 percent. Fees should be raised to reflect the true value of mangrove habitat, said Efred Ed. Flores and Arsenio Camacho, members of the Task Force on Mangorves, in a letter to Governor Arthur Defensor.
