The recent expansion of the country's bangus industry has resulted in tight supply of bangus fry, according to director Dennis B. Araullo, officer-in-charge of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). In a report to Agriculture Secretary Roberto S. Sebastian, Araullo attributed the expansion of bangus fishponds to the shifting of fishpond owners from prawn.
