Indonesia has deported 52 Filipino fishermen who were caught poaching in its territorial waters. The fishermen had been detained for several months in Bitung City in North Sulawesi before they were sent home on board the Philippine Navy (PN)’s BRP Cebu. The fishermen, who are expected to arrive this morning at the PN headquarters in Camp Panacan, mostly came from General Santos City and Sarangani province. The Eastern Mindanao Command said that most of the fishermen were arrested in April.
