    Excerpt
Yesterday afternoon's turnover of the Punta Pulao Farm to the South East Asian Fisheries Development Center (Seafdec) marked the launching of the Iloilo town of Dumangas into the world map of fishery research and development (R&D). Punta Pulao Farm in Dumangas is a 15-hectare brackish fishfarm used to be owned by the Panay Electric Co., but was later sold for P6 million to the Republic of the Philippines, which in turn donated it to Seafdec for its exclusive use.
