The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) in Tigbauan, a town 22 kilometers from the city, was unanimously chosen in the regional search for the firm with the most outstanding family welfare program for Iloilo. Other nominees for the regional search are the Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines in Ungka, Jaro and the Iloilo Integrated Arrastre Service Corporation (ILIASCO) in Guanco Street, City Proper.
