BFAR bans fishing in Davao Gulf
Excerpt
Authorities have declared a three-month fishing ban in Davao Gulf. The regional office of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) said the ban, which started on June 1, was meant to conserve fish species and other marine life in the gulf. This is the fourth year that the ban is being implemented in the area. The BFAR expects fishermen to comply with the order, saying a team will patrol the area to strictly implement the ban.
