Tigbauan-based Seafdec Aquaculture Department initiated construction of the integrated Fish Broodstock and Hatchery Demonstration Complex in 1997. After a year, the complex is fully operational: milkfish broodstock have been transferred to the new facility last April 1998. The complex was inaugurated on July 9.
