Starting this month, the fishery station in Molo district will sell milkfish in the market, the fruit of an experiment and, incidentally, a timely move that Gov. Arthur Defensor calls for "rationalization" to cushion the fiscal crunch pestering the Iloilo provincial government. From the three grow-out ponds, each 600 square meters wide and stocked with 2,000 pieces of fingerlings, the provincial facility raises additional fingerlings in two more ponds, each 1,000 square meters, so to harvest again in the following months, said Alma Moreno, in-charge of the fishery station.
