    Excerpt

With demand soaring and much of the world’s fish stocks dwindling, almost half of all seafood now comes from aquaculture, with Asia at the center of it. The region accounts for 52 percent of global fish consumption and dominates production with an 88-percent share, according to a report by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
