    A banned shrimp is being smuggled into the country. The crustacean is called western white shrimp, also Pacific white shrimp, and scientifically named Penaeus vannamei. P. vannamei is said to be affected with the Taura Syndrome Virus (TSV), which was first reported in Ecuador in 1992.
