    Excerpt
The success of the SEAFDEC-assisted project on tilapia culture in San Julian dam in Tapaz, Capiz prompted Mayor Romualdo Exmundo to develop more potential sits for aquaculture. Tapaz is an ideal place for aquaculture of freshwater species because it is blessed with abundant water coming from natural springs. To realize this, the local government unit of Tapaz sponsored a training seminar on tilapia culture.
