Aquaculture may just be the answer to the call of Carles fishers to bring back their town's title as 'Alaska of the Philippines." Heeding the call, the local government unit of Carles, collaborated with the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center - Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) and Carles fishermen cooperative to bring out the most from the vast coastal resources of the town's 18 island barangay.
