The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Office 3 recently conducted various projects in the provinces of Central Luzon, providing fishermen with fiberglass boats, fishing implements and milkfish fingerlings. The agency noted that around P600,000 worth of 25-footer fiberglass reinforced plastic boats (FRPB) were distributed to fishermen of Obando and Paombong in the province of Bulacan which were funded under the FB Pagbabago Program. It added that the FRPB are expected to help uplift the economic status of the Filipino fishermen through the provision of disaster-resilient fishing boats.en
