The mayor of a northern Iloilo town still reeling from depleted marine resources, says sorry now for having been himself among its major culprits. However, Mayor Jett Rojas of Ajuy vowed to repay what he had damaged by launching a spirited mangrove reforestation in his town, 92 kilometers north of Iloilo City. His family is among the biggest operators of fishponds in Ajuy, spanning "as far as the eyes can see."
