This town is the new addition to the list of the beneficiaries of SEAFDEC (Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center) technologies particularly tilapia culture in small freshwater reservoir (SFR). The town, although located in a landlocked area, is endowed with a couple of springs where the owners put up SFRs to raise freshwater species like tilapia and catfish.
