BFP-6 exec, personnel dedicate day for community service
Excerpt
Coastal clean-up, community pantry and mangrove planting. It was a jam-packed day of community service for around 60 personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Region 6 yesterday. They served their penalty for holding a mass gathering last month. The metro is under the modified enhanced community quarantine; mass gatherings are strictly prohibited. BFP-6 director Jerry Candido said they had two groups around 5:30 a.m. yesterday: one conducted coastal cleanup in Barangay Santo Niño Sur, Arevalo district and the other set up a community pantry at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand. Around 200 indigent families of Barangay Muelle Loney here received food packs.
