    Excerpt
Along with other past leaders, President Rodrigo Duterte is likely to consider inviting former President Benigno Simeon Aquino III soon to discuss issues on the West Philippine Sea (WPS). The meeting would serve as an “alternative” to a former lawmaker’s proposal to convene the National Security Council that Duterte said had not solved anything in the few times he had it assembled, Malacañang on Thursday said. Duterte broached the idea after retired general and former Senator Rodolfo Biazon urged the administration to call the Council as China’s encroachment into the WPS continue to hound Duterte’s leadership.
