Agriculture secretary Manny Piñol is proposing to President Rodrigo Duterte the creation of a National Food Security Coordinating Council where all government agencies involved in food production would work closely together. These agencies include the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Public Works and Highways, and Department of Agrarian Reform, among others.
