    Excerpt
The newly elected mayor of this city hopes to make this city become known as the "Tuna Capital of Asia," a step up from its current moniker of "Tuna Capital of the Philippines." Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio, an opposition stalwart in the previous Arroyo administration and now a supporter of the Aquino administration, said the local tuna industry has the potential to beat Thailand, the world's largest producer of canned tuna.
