    Excerpt
A year after an international tribunal ruled in favor of the Philippines in its case against China’s massive maritime claims, the two countries are now back on the “right track” in peacefully resolving their dispute. On the anniversary of the landmark South China Sea decision, the Duterte administration said the Philippines has become a “regional peacemaker” and highlighted the benefits of improving relations with China. The DFA said the President’s priority of regional peace and stability has led to the healthy environment of dialogue, cooperation and development.
