The Mabilo Community Fish Landing Center in Kalibo, Aklan, the third fish landing facility in the province, was inaugurated on Oct. 12. The P2.85-million facility aims to reduce post-harvest losses, serve as hub for economic activities, and improve conditions in coastal communities. The establishment of CFLCs is under the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources’ (BFAR) priority program dubbed Targeted Actions to Reduce Poverty and Generate Economic Transformation.
