PCG seizes P1.2-B fossilized 'taklobo'

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), together with other government agencies, apprehended the supposed selling of 200 tons of fossilized giant clams, with a market price of around P1.2 billion, resulting in the arrest of four poachers in Roxas, Palawan on Friday. According to PCG Palawan district commander Commodore Genito Basilio, the seizure of the contrabands is considered the biggest giant clam shell haul in the province to date.
