    Excerpt
Eighty-three Asians, 43 of them Filipinos, have attended separately five training courses on aquaculture conducted by a government-hosted Southeast Asian center based in Iloilo during the past nine months. The courses were on Aquaculture Management (three weeks), Management of Sustainable Aquafarming Systems (five weeks), Fish Health Management (six weeks), Marine Fish Hatchery (six weeks), and Freshwater Aquaculture (four weeks). These are five of the six regular training courses offered every year by the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD) based in Tigbauan, Iloilo.
