Fish kills are regular occurrences at Iloilo and Batiano Rivers, but the more massive occur twice a year especially during the rush of rain floods. The volume of fish that were seen floating lifeless along the river is huge, to include all fish and crustaceans. It takes at least a month after the fish kills for the river to recover.en
