As the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center/Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC/AQD) banner program “Oplan Balik Sugpo” is in the offing, chief Dan Baliao echoed the concerns of shrimp farmers to the scientists to immediately address gaps in shrimp farming. The problems and approaches to prevent disease pathogens - the major problem in shrimp farming were discussed during the strategic planning held last week. For decades, shrimp farming has become a risky business venture due to many problems besetting the industry.
