Research on shells as food source, BFAR told
Excerpt
The Antique Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) asked the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to research on shells and mollusk in the rivers and coastlines of the province. SP member Victor Condez said there is a need to explore more resources to provide adequate supply food and livelihood to people. “The province has plenty of rivers, swamps, wetlands, and a long stretch of coastline which host many marine and aquatic resources to include shells,” said Condez, who sponsored a resolution requesting BFAR to conduct the research.
