    Excerpt
Fisherfolk in Negros Occidental were experiencing a decrease in catch. They were blaming the El Niño phenomenon. The extreme heat brought by El Niño has resulted in the 70-percent drop in their average catch, according to Abcede Jardinico, chairperson of the Negros Small Fishers Alliance (Nosfa).
