    Agro-fishery losses climb to P78M

    The damage caused by massive flooding brought about by heavy rains with strong winds to agro-fishery sector of Negros Occidental has increased to about P78 million. For the January 8 to 11 flash floods alone, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) had reported almost P52.8 million in losses. The figure covers P37.5 million worth of damage and production losses to the province's rice sector. In terms of fisheries, the amount of damage has reached almost P5.85 million.
