Underwater is truly a different world. Like floating in space, scuba diving into the deep and mysterious ocean is an intense adrenaline rush, because of the peculiar sense of weightlessness and absence of gravity. With an equal mix of fear and excitement, we dive with the constant proximity of real danger and yet, we look forward to all the beauty that will unfold. Last weekend, I felt that thrilling, adrenaline rush once again as we descended into a deep dive at the Bahura dive spot, in Anilao town, Batangas province. Our diving instructor Gigi Santos took the dive gang to check out the giant fan corals and hunting pelagic fishes. Portulano Dive Resort ( portulano.com, tel. 0917-5404257) owner Carmela Sevilla took photos of the huge tuna while hoping to spot some eagle rays. Our daughter Jordan was delighted to take photos on film of the coral formations.
