Those against the construction of the Jalaur River mega-dam in Calinog, Iloilo have been making a lot of noise lately in a bid to get President Rodrigo Duterte's attention. Delegates to the recent international solidarity mission against the P11.2-billion Jalaur River Multipurpose Project (JRMP) Stage II identified alternatives to the mega-dam such as rehabilitating existing irrigation canals to ensure the flow of water to farmlands.
