    Laman na naman ng mga balita nitong Huwebes ang bahagi ng white sand—sa totoo’y nadurog na dolomite rock—sa Manila Bay sa bahagi ng Roxas Boulevard. Ilang bahagi ng beach ang nagkulay itim, matapos mapatungan ng itim ng mga bungahing dinala ng mga alan sa bay. Ayon kaky Undersecretary for Policy, Planning, and International Affairs Jonas Leones naroon pa rin naman ang dolomite. “Due to the natural wave action of wash and backwash,” aniya, “fresh sand, stones, rocks, and other materials piled up over the dolomite sand. DENR experts who inspected the site found nine to ten inches of various sediments on top of the dolomite overlay.”
