    Excerpt
It is profitability to feed pond-cultured Asian catfish ("hito") with a formulated diet containing 34 percent crude protein (CP). This was found in a study done by Eliseo Coniza, Mae Catacutan, and Josefa Tan-Fermin, researchers of the Tigbauan, Iloilo-based Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD). In recent years, the native catfish has been observe to disappear in Philippine waters, including those in Iloilo.
